Dog Walking

Dog Walking Agreement

The full terms and conditions for a Pup Central dog walking booking.

1. Services

Pup Central agrees to provide dog walking services as arranged with the client, for the walk duration selected on the booking form.

Collection and return will be from the address agreed unless otherwise arranged.

2. Fees & Payment

The current fee and payment schedule will be confirmed with the client before the first walk.

Invoices must be paid within the agreed timeframe. Late payments may incur additional charges.

3. Cancellations

The client agrees:

  • To give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel a walk.
  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged in full.

Pup Central will give as much notice as possible if a walk needs to be cancelled, and will try to offer an alternative where practical.

4. Keys

Where keys are provided for collection and return:

  • Keys remain the property of the client at all times.
  • Pup Central agrees to keep keys secure and confidential.
  • Replacement of lost keys, and any locksmith costs resulting from Pup Central's negligence, are Pup Central's responsibility.

5. Off-Lead Walking

The client authorises whether their dog may be walked off lead or on lead only, confirmed via the booking form.

The client understands that no environment is completely risk-free and accepts the risks associated with off-lead exercise where it has been authorised.

6. Veterinary Treatment

If a dog becomes ill or injured while in Pup Central's care, the client authorises Pup Central to seek veterinary treatment if the client cannot be contacted.

  • The client agrees to pay all veterinary costs incurred.
  • Pup Central will make every reasonable effort to contact the client or their emergency contact before treatment is authorised.

7. Health Requirements

The client confirms that:

  • The dog is fit and healthy for exercise.
  • Vaccinations are up to date, or an agreed alternative vaccination protocol has been discussed.
  • The dog is regularly treated for fleas, ticks and worms.
  • The dog is not suffering from any contagious illness.
  • Any behavioural concerns have been disclosed before services begin.

8. Bitches in Season

Female dogs in season must not attend group walks.

The client agrees to inform Pup Central immediately if their dog comes into season.

9. Aggressive Behaviour

The client confirms the dog has not shown aggression towards people or other animals, unless disclosed in writing.

Pup Central reserves the right to refuse or terminate services if the dog's behaviour poses a risk.

10. Weather

Walks may be shortened, rescheduled, or replaced with home visits during extreme weather conditions to protect the dog's welfare.

11. Photographs & Social Media

You can confirm on the booking form whether you give permission for photographs or videos of your dog to be used for social media and promotional purposes.

12. Liability

Pup Central will take all reasonable care whilst exercising and caring for the dog. However, the client accepts that dogs are unpredictable animals and agrees that Pup Central cannot be held liable for illness, injury, loss or death unless caused by negligence.

The client accepts responsibility for any damage or injury caused by their dog to people, animals or property, and agrees to indemnify Pup Central against any resulting claims, except where caused by Pup Central's negligence.

13. Insurance

Pup Central confirms it holds appropriate Public Liability Insurance.

14. Data Protection

Personal information will be held securely and used only for providing dog walking services and complying with legal obligations.

Information will not be shared with third parties unless required by law or in an emergency.

15. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement by giving 7 days' written notice.

Pup Central may terminate services immediately if the dog presents a danger to people or animals, welfare concerns arise, or fees remain unpaid.

16. Declaration

By submitting a dog walking request, the client confirms that the information provided is accurate and complete, and that they have read and understood this agreement and agree to be bound by its terms.
